These websites are really cool.
Sustainability
Low Tech Magazine
https://solar.lowtechmagazine.com/
This is a solar-powered website, which means it sometimes goes offline
I find Low Tech Magazine to be an extremely interesting part of the internet. Translated into as many languages as the community can support, this digital magazine is a long-form exploration into alternative ways of thinking, doing, and approaching the impending climate crisis.
From exploring the history and current usage of aquaculture-based wastewater treatment, to proposing a "when the sun shines" internet transfer protocol, the writers are extremely thorough and engaging.
Utility
ThisToThat
Because people have a need to glue things to other things
ThisToThat is a beautifully simple website. Select what you want to attach to what. It will make situational product and process recommendations.
FixMyBlinds
DO IT YOURSELF BLIND REPAIR
FixMyBlinds is another great one. I really appreciate their troubleshooter, and if every possible home repair had a troubleshooter like that, the world would be a better place and the landfills a bit less full.
News
HackerNews
HackerNews, is a single-page Reddit-like link aggregator that tends to see mostly STEM and entrepreneurship-related posts. It's a daily read for me, and there's an insane amount of knowledge to be picked up reading through the comments on any given post.
